The Armstrong Siddeley Heritage Trust
The inspiration for the Trust comes from two principle concerns; the need to ensure for the long term that the achievements of the Armstrong Siddeley company are recognised; and to ensure the preservation of a broad representation of the historic archives and artefacts, held in many hands and locations around the world, is maintained for all time. In short, to educate and preserve.
Whilst nobody can predict the future with any certainty, we can be sure that the situation that we all face today as Armstrong Siddeley owners will change. To this end the Trust's focus on education and preservation will, hopefully, provide a sure and certain future for the heritage that is Armstrong Siddeley whatever occurs.
In beginning the process of establishing the Trust there is much to do. Once the thinking has been developed there will be more on this site but, in the meantime we invite questions and comments through the ASOC magazine, Sphinx, through messages to this site, or by direct contact with the Trustees, Bill Brenchley, Michael Cansdale, Keith Dewhurst, Munro Donald, John Formston jnr., Simon Pearce, Bill Smith and David Welch. Anything sent to the Editor of Sphinx, addressed for the personal attention of any of the Trustees will be forwarded to them.
