Where we meet

Monthly Area Meetings:

Our regular monthly meetings are held on the second Monday in each month. Currently these meetings are at the Silvermere Golf Club which is on the Cobham to Byfleet road close to both the M25 and the A3 in Surrey. Travelling from the top of Pain's Hill take the A245 towards Byfleet. Cross over the first set of traffic lights and Silvermere Golf Club is about 3/4 mile along on the left.

The meetings start at 7.30pm and usually end at about 10.30pm. Restaurant quality and Bar Snack type food is available.

2011 Area Xmas Dinner:

The venue for this Dinner is the Chobham Golf Club. This is off the  A322 Bracknell to Guildford road. From junction 3 of the M3 you will find the golf club about 2 miles along on the left.

Other Meetings:

The Southern Area members are a sociable bunch. Apart from our regular monthly meetings we usually meet for lunch on New Year's Day. Traditionally this lunch meeting has been at the same venue as our monthly meetings but, now that we meet at a Golf Club, this might change for 2012. Watch this space.

All ASOC members and their friends are welcome at all of our meetings and events no matter where you might be from. Being relatively close to Heathrow Airport we have even welcomed overseas members who have called in before flying home the next day. You don't have to let us know in advance of your coming. Just call in and surprise us. You will be sure of a great welcome.

Certain of our events like our annual Xmas Dinner are pre-booked and pre-paid affairs. This is to make sure that we get the catering right. There's nothing worse that 50 diners and only 48 dinners booked! If you would like to come and sample our southern hospitality at a ticket only event just call Mike Darley (his number is in Sphinx) and make the arrangements with him. We even often can arrange accommodation with an ASOC member if you need to stop over the night (or two or three), just ask.
